More is MoreNeural started out as an almost painfully niche publication in 1993 working out of Bari, Italy specializing in the world of hacktivism, e-music and new media art. But Neural’s quirky approach of amalgamating the art world and paying homage to technology has paid off considering the printing of its current Winter 2008 issue marks its fifteenth year in publication. The magazine (also available in Italian and English) is broken down into three main editorial points of interest-hacktivism, e-music/sounds, and new media art. By incorporating a sharp and pleasant aesthetic and well-written cogent reviews, news and interviews, Neural’s current issue ‘Informational Value’ (www.neural.it/art/2008/12/neural_31_1.phtml) is worth the read, even if you are not accustomed to such idiosyncratic forms of art. While at first glance Neural appears only suitable for a certain brand of an electronic obsessed audience, the magazine actually offers what other publications often cannot for potentially wary readers-an unpretentious and enjoyable read for those less well-versed in the technologically intertwined art world.

The magazine sells for five euro and can be purchased via their website, www.neural.it/subscribe.phtml, or through various shops.
